Alcester Contra

Alcester Contra is a folk dance club based on American style longways and square dances. Events are held at the Greig Hall, Alcester, B49 6AD, on approximately one Friday evening per month, with live callers and music from the UK and America. If you are uncertain of the calls do not worry: every dance is walked through first so that we all know what we are doing! Inexperienced dancers and beginners are always welcome. The dances are from 8.00 to 11.00pm and an American Supper is served halfway through the evening. The cost is £7.00 if reserved in advance or £8.00 on the door.
