"STAYING IN A GREENER EUROPE" Talk by Siân Berry
Description
Solving the big challenges facing us like climate change, global inequality and the threats to the environment and human rights will require cooperation not isolationism. Siân Berry will be explaining why the UK will be better off facing up to these issues as part of the European Union and why she believes we need a ‘People’s Vote’ on any Brexit deal.
ABOUT SIÂN BERRY
In 2018 Siân Berry was elected co-leader of the Green Party with Jonathan Bartley.
Siân joined the Green Party in 2001, politically energised by the twin threats of globalised capitalism and climate breakdown. She has stood for Parliament and twice been the Green candidate for Mayor of London. In 2016 she was elected as a member of the London Assembly where she has been campaigning tirelessly on a wide range of issues including homelessness, youth services, renting rights and civil liberties.

The formal event will be followed by light refreshments and an opportunity to chat informally with Sian and other members of the audience.
Stratford Girls’ Grammar School is about a mile from the centre of town on the west side of Stratford. There are train services to Stratford Parkway and Stratford Central. There are also more frequent services to Warwick Parkway on the Chiltern line (20 minutes by taxi to Stratford). For those travelling by car there is ample free parking at the venue.
Doors will open at 6.30 pm for a 7.00 pm start and the event will end by 9.00 pm. Admission is FREE but by ticket only. Reserved Admission tickets need to be booked in advance from Eventbrite.

Stratford-on-Avon for Europe, or Stratford4Europe for short, is a local, cross-party, grass-roots organisation campaigning for Britain to play a leading role within a strong and united European Union.
